What do you think about Hester's feeling about Dimmesdale? Obviously, she feels closer to him than to Chillingworth. But, is it only because of their mutual sin or because of something else?
I believe that Hester has true feelings for Dimesdale and not just because of their shared sins. I think that part of her is in love with the part of him that gave her Pearl. Other than Pearl, he is the only other person that treats her as a human, this may be only because of their shared sin but I think that it has made them form a stronger friendship that is making her fall for him.
I agree with Mira. Also that Hester never revealed Dimmesdale's name shows that she wants to protect him. it would have made her life much easier if she just would have revealed his name from the beginning, but she didn't... I really believe that she has true feelings for him.
